Contraindications
Do not use Monopril if you have allergy to its components or to other ACE inhibitors; you are in your second or third trimester of pregnancy; you have a history of angioedema (swelling of the hands, face, lips, eyes, throat, or tongue; difficulty swallowing or breathing; or unusual hoarseness), including angioedema caused by treatment with an ACE inhibitor.

Drug interactions
Tell your doctor if you are taking any drugs especially about the following: angiotensin receptor blockers (eg, losartan) or trimethoprim, aldosterone blockers (eg, eplerenone), potassium-sparing diuretics (eg, spironolactone, triamterene), or potassium supplements, insulin, sulfonylureas (glipizide), or other oral diabetes medicines (eg, metformin), gold-containing medicines (auranofin), nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) (ibuprofen, indomethacin), lithium.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose of Monopril, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the Missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Overdose
Overdose symptoms are fainting; severe dizziness or lightheadedness; weakness. Seek medical attention if you think that you Overdosed Monopril.
